For this album, I was interested in exploring the sonic variations of a single sample in each track. In "unfold," a sample of a music box from the Internet Archive was used. A recording of my daughter singing in a made-up language served as source material for "ooocooo." The first eight seconds of an intro to a song I wrote 20 years ago was used for "it moved through me." All sounds in "cold wind" are derived from the Yellowstone sound library recording "Common Loon."

All tracks are one-take recordings using a eurorack modular system.
